Hey ja it’s such a long time that I do not write down something on my blog, so I decided to show you a coupleof pics of my last trip in Barcelona Spain. I stayed there for work and fortunately I had the time to see a little bit of this wonderful city.
First of all I wanted to see the famous “Sagrada Familia”, the cathedral though and started by Antoni Gaudí. I was so impressed to see the church, it is still under construction because Gaudí died before completing it. The architects are still working on the building following all the projects made by Antoni. All the details that he thought are now transferred in the stones. Unfortunately I didn’t had the time to go inside the church, some say that the inside is the best part because Gaudí was inspired by nature and wanted to recreate a forest in the cathedral.

Moving on to the main street of Barcelona “the Diagonal” you can see other important building made by Gaudí, the fist is the “La Pedrera” and the second not too far is “Casa Batlló”. These are 100% houses! Unfortunately I don’t have pics of the second… I was on the bus and…my camera is not the best…. J

If you take the underground you can easy reach “Parc Güell” This place was crowed of tourists because it was the “house” of Gaudí for a period. This is one of the most popular places of the city, it’s so modern and coloured. And here you can sit on one of the famous benches made of pieces of tiles and see the view of the see and the city .

The most charming part of the city is the centre called “Barri Gòtic”. Here you can walk on the famous street “Rambla” and reach the see in less than 15 minutes J
If you want to have shopping I suggest you to walk in the earth of the city, here I found some cute shops, not only souvenir shops but also book shops (Barcelona is the city of books!! Love it), perfume and soap shops and fashion shops like Desigual. If you like this brand, you will have the possibility to buy something in one of the thousand shops in the streets of Barcelona ( and if you don’t, you can find a store in the Airport!! ).

I recommend you to see the “Montjuïc”. This is the place that I preferred, it is a little mountain were you can find the Olympic stadium and the contemporary art museum. It’s maybe the most classic part of Barcelona.

But the thing that I really really loved of this city is the way that modern and classic architecture are malted together. The new and the old create a wonderful contrast that balance each other. In conclusion this city stole a piece of my soul, and I’m sure one day I will be back to look for it.
